Totally against giving the best teams in the league even more of an advantage over the rest of the league. Churn at the top is normal and necessary for a healthy league. Propping up good teams because they went for it is ridiculous. Most of the league is going for it. This rule keeps the middling teams from getting better and encourages tanking since we now want to make it easier for ghe top tier to stay there by introducing artificial advantages.
How on earth are we not voting on this as a league?

How on earth are we not voting on this as a league? We're still rewarding the middle of the pack teams with a chance for a $3M - $5M reward for finishing above .500. We're also giving the top 3 non-playoff teams (middle of the pack teams) a chance to get a top overall draft pick and at worse the 6th overall pick, which would help them dramatically compared to them previously picking 17th, 18th and 19th overall. We've never really had one dominate team stay at the top for more than a year or two (in recent memory) and I don't think this proposed rule would enable that. With the ARB increases this just helps offset some of the money spent on competing....that said, we can always look to adjust the numbers if that makes more sense.

You’re still giving the best teams an advantage by virtue of them receiving more additional money than lesser teams. This needs to go to a league vote instead of being implemented by the teams that benefit most.

You’re still giving the best teams an advantage by virtue of them receiving more additional money than lesser teams. This needs to go to a league vote instead of being implemented by the teams that benefit most. A few things here: 1. We're 100% open to a vote on any of these proposed rules. 2. We never said these proposed rules we're official. In the opening post I asked for everyone's opinion and to have a discussion in the thread regarding the proposed rules. I also said based on feedback they could be tweaked or changed, which is still the case. 3. Proposed rule #5 - as it stands now only one team would be in line for a >.700 winning % and only one team would've hit that % last year as well. In the updated structure, only 4 teams wouldn't have gotten any boost last year...which those 4 teams received the top draft positions. With the proposed Draft Lottery Change rule as well, it helps a few of the middle of the pack teams as well as the worst three teams potentially land a top overall draft pick. These proposed rules help the middle of the pack teams more than the tankers, which is what brought some of these rules up to begin with. 3a. Proposed rule #5 has been discussed internally for a while with a wide range of owners. The past few years we've had to make changes in the rules in order to keep the competitiveness of the league in balance and the help promote a even level playing field. We also had to close some known loop holes that were consistently being exploited and to try to mimic IRL MLB operations. We've brought in numerous owners to work with these rules and ideas and will continue to do so.

I’m against 5 mostly bc it’s so easy to get money that extra cap is not really an incentive to compete.
