1. No FA hits 30M a year - The FA market just isnt what it has been in recent years combined with teams not willing to shell out the big money like they used to makes for a very boring free agency.
2. Mark Trumbo will be the highest paid FA - At age 30, Mark Trumbo is one of the younger big names in ODC FA, which puts in play the some of the rebuilder teams with cash. There is a big LF market for teams trying to compete. Although there doesnt seem to be alot of teams coming out saying they want Trumbo, I see him hitting 28M 4yrs under the right circumstances.
3. The Colorado Rockies sign 3 big name FA - Denver has seen his jname in the headline lately but for all the wrong reasons. Being on the wrong end of a few vetoed trades is never a good look. But Denver is set in his ways to be all in for the season. Not to mention new owners typically shell out more in their first A seasons. I say the Rockies coming away with Bautista Cruz and Rich Hill.
4. Oren signs Cole Hamels - The Phillies bringing in Hamels would be perfect on two fronts, Oren continues to load up his SP to try to be the 2nd dominant staff in the NL behind Cubcorp, he takes away the top SP on the market from Bruan Bruan. Oren is a master trader when it comes to flipping for cap space and isnt afraid to to get in a bidding (just ask Sanders.)
5. Sign and Trades make an impact for the first time in ODC - Between Mike with Jansen and and the 30 trade man Patty, I see ODC sign and trades finally be put to use, many contenders are out of cap and for discounted values trades will be made.
