BAL- An off-season beef up (Grilli 4.2, Morton 2.5, Espinosa 2, Reynolds 2) to help lead a strengthening division. (B) BAL should be in good shape for 2017 with a well-balanced attack and especially dangerous infield. ESPN Top 50 players: 3 Altuve 2B, Votto 1b, Villar SS
TB- Savvy additions of veteran depth (Davis 4.5, Plouffe 4, Cashner 4) round out a top contender. (B+) TB is in position to challenge for best in the American League, if a few top stars can perform to their abilities. ESPN Top 50 players: 2 Cespedes OF, Myers 1B, (Strasburg SP #51)
BOS- Big bat (Napoli 5.3) added to a potent lineup; no other FA action to note. (B) The Sox could have a stranglehold on many offensive categories, but lack the SP depth to cause much trouble as of now. ESPN Top 50 players: 2 Betts OF, Bryant OF
TOR- Good deals were made by the Jays (Saunders 5.5, Uehara 3.5, Jimenez 0.6) to help stay afloat. (B+) TOR may have some trouble due to an incomplete offense, but has time to improve there and could pitch extremely well. ESPN Top 50 players: none
NYY- No grade The Yanks are setting themselves up for the future, acquiring prospects and picks without investing much into its 2017 MLB roster. ESPN Top 50 players: none
