Hey all, my name is Ben, I'm a 29 year old Mets fan interested in defecting to the enemy (what can I say, baseball is just more fun when the Phillies aren't a complete joke). I live in Michigan now, having grown up in NYC and also having previously lived in Minneapolis for four years.
I run Pro-GM, a 30 team dynasty league similar to this one, which started in 2010 and also runs on Proboards. Before that I ran a league called The Trading Game, which also used real life rosters and contracts but only in a one-year capacity rather than with keepers. I'm used to staying active year-round and very familiar with the Proboards format.
Sanders, who used to participate in Pro-GM, and Max, who is a current member, referred me to this league. Pro-GM is the only other league I currently participate in and I'm not interested in stretching myself too thin. If I'm accepted for this position I'll be committed to giving it my best.
The Phillies' roster needs a lot of work. Betts, Correa, Yelich, Stroman, and Freeland is a great core, but beyond that there isn't really much to work with. The team needs reinforcements at every position except shortstop. Luckily, that's my favorite kind of challenge, rebuilding and filling out a roster that can be competitive long term, even if it means trading away stars. If accepted to run this team, I'll be listening to offers on anyone and everyone. At the same time, however, I'll be weighing the value that each player can bring to the squad if kept, and won't be trading anyone unless the return is worthwhile.
Thanks for your consideration and I look forward to your decision. I hope to turn these Phillies into winners!

Veto - because of his Pro Boards name.

Pass, because he's lived in different places. We need people with eclectic experiences.
