4 ODC Blockbusters I'd like to see happen

White Sox GM (Michael), Astros GM (Max), and 4 more like this
Post by Rays GM (forbz) on Jul 31, 2017 16:11:44 GMT -5
The Chicago White Sox Receive
OF - Andrew Benintendi
P - Ian Anderson
P - Nathan Kirby
The Atlanta Braves Receive
C - Buster Posey
This first blockbuster is completed between two of the more mild mannered and well respected GMs in ODC history. Wood upgrades over nothing at Catcher with the top one in the league. With a small lead in the Nl East, September around the corner, and Leslie in his Division, this loads up the lineup to secure that top spot. Mike on the other hand receives a stud OF to pair with Stanton, and two young arms he can flip this off season in attempt to reclaim is throne in the AL Central next year.

The Chicago Cubs Receive
SP - Max Scherzer
The Toronto Blue Jays Receive
SS- Kevin Maitan
P - Kolby Allard
P - Mitch Keller
The Cleveland Indians Receive
3B - Rafael Devers
P - Anthony Banda
1B - Kendrys Morales
This trade would forever be known as the Cubcorp Swan Song. Psych gives the final top pieces of his once illustrious farm system. Mad Max would be a devastating addition to what is already the greatest pitching staff ODC has ever seen. When looking at what Zack would want in return for Scherzer, the answer is easy, a top Red Sox prospect. Devers would be the corner stone for his lineup and maybe set off a chain of trades moving Longoria back to land of Raycorp. Banda and Morales are two solid pieces to keep the Indians afloat if Zack happens to sneak into the playoffs. Sanders makes out in this deal, but is the needed piece as hed be too afraid to give up Devers for anything less.

The Houston Astros Receive
P - Alex Reyes
OF - Kyle Lewis
SS - Alex Killiroff
SS - Ryan Mountcastle
P - Cody Sedlock
The Cincinnati Reds Receive
SS - Carlos Correa
We know 3 things about Cody. 1. Cody knows hes one of the only teams with a realistic chance to knock off Cubcorp. 2. We also know Cody loves his farm system and tries to always maintain a solid core without fully going all in. 3. If Cody finds a stud he wants, he is willing to pay. Correa is that stud. As outrageous as the price for Correa probably is in Maxs head, if this deal was thrown on his lap, I dont think he blinks twice.

The Pittsburgh Pirates Receive
P - Carlos Rodon
P - Tajuan Walker
P - Steven Matz
SS - Tim Anderson
RP - Nick Vincent
The San Diego Padres Receive
SS - Corey Seager
The New guys makes a splash. Not even sure who the Pittsburgh owner is right now but he knows his team has a chance this year. With a strong NL competition and no farm system this trade bulks up depth in the rotation with plenty of upside. Anderson is a solid replacement for Seager and the deal would put the Pirates back in contention with the top dogs in the NL. Noah has shown from past trades hes copying the Natty Model this year by dealing for the best possible players he can find no matter th price, and will find a way to fill out the roster once he crosses that bridge. Seager will be a nice addition he can pc the rest of the league about.
