So We need to get schedules set up so i'm just going to set up an example...If for some reason you think this idea, promote a better one, if you can't find a better option than keep your comments to yourself
Each Division opponent 2X Each League opponent 1x 3 Teams from the opposite league that finished in the same place as you
For Example). My Schedule: (2017 NL East 4th Place) Nats, Marlins, Braves, and Phillies: each 2x
Cards, Cubs, Pirates, Reds, Brewers: Each 1X
Dodgers, Rockies, Dbacks, Giants, and Padres: Each 1X
AL East 2017 4th Place: Toronto Blue Jays AL West 2017 4th place: Technically it's Angels, but Astros since he moved AL Central 2017 4th place: Tigers and Royals Tied, but Royals had more wins, idk what the tiebreaker is...For this exercise I'll take Tigers since it's my choice rn because I am posting this thread
So... Blue Jays, Astros, Tigers: Each 1X

the problem with this is that it incentives tanking at the end of the season to give yourself a better chance for the upcoming season, thus giving teams, if our admins could come up with somesort of prediction system to have the 4th place projected in the al west for the upcoming season play the 4th place teams in the other leagues that would eliminate that problem. We could also use Justins standings for this.

Well we have a year to come up with a new way so that won’t affect it but nobody knew we were doing the schedule this way last year so it works for a year.

There's other reasons to tank, and chances are those teams are tanking well before the end of the season. You have to play your lineups and call up real life active players to your 40 man roster as long as you have room to do so. You also have to play your best lineup or at least if you're benching players it needs to be with the intention of preserving unsustainable good categories for the week.
Short version, I don't think tanking should be a problem, and if teams are benching their rosters there's penalties for that.

Yea, it's really impossible to tank unless you trade away players, which is either actively making your team worse for the next year, or the players are expiring and you'd probably be trading them anyway.
