Can I drop Brian Moehler and his contract.
It appears he is retired, but I can't find any thing official. When searching for him on MLB's site, he comes up in the "Historical Player" data base rather than the "Active Player" data base.
Thanks,
Anthony Padres GM

As long as you (any Padres GM) didn't sign him to a Free Agent contract, you can drop him at no cost. If he was signed as a Free Agent in this league, they you must pay have his contract each year for its remainder.

Did a little more digging and found that Moehler was signed to a 1 yr. contract for the 2011 season as SP. He shouldn't have been on the Padres roster as his contract was expired after the 2011 season. ondeckcircle.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=signings&action=display&thread=909I'm going to drop Brian Moehler from my roster. Do I need to post him on thread?

No, you can just remove him, it's fine. I doubt anyone would want to sign him now anyway lol.
