SS-Amed Rosario(3) SS-Tzu Wei Lin(1)
Amed still has star level tools, but needs to refine his approach and show off the consistency he flashed in the last half of the season to get there. I think he will given his age, but it's time to deliver on pedigree for the former top 5 prospect.
Tzu Wei Lin is a utility only guy, but started putting the ball in the air a lot more last year, which should give him enough thump to profile as a solid bench option.
2B/3B-Yoan Moncada (3) Like Amed, Moncada has had a rough start to his ML career, and his elite physical abilities is undermined by a sometimes too passive approach with iffy bat control. Still, he made adjustments late in the year, and he doesn't need a lot more improvement to be a 55. He probably isn't a 70, but I think he's gonna have a long career. The White Sox will try him out in 3B this year to start, to increase his flexibility. The end goal, I believe, is to run with a Yoan, Anderson, Madrigal IF.
OF-Kyle Tucker(1) A mildly awkward swing, but a pretty one nonetheless, Tucker plays the game with a laid back approach, which has garnered some rather unfavorable JD drew comps. But he can hit, and hit with pop, and he has the base running instincts to be a solid SB threat. He projects as an above average RF, assuming he breaks in the vaunted Houston lineup.
SP-Steven Brault-(3) Brault has good, power stuff from the left side, but has poor command at times, and his delivery can be inconsistent. He's simplified his delivery this off season, so there's hope he can be a ML starter for the Pirates this year. If not, he profiles as a good late inning BP piece.
RP-Oliver Drake Drake has decent peripherals and power stuff, but has struggled throughout his entire career with command and mound presence. He's been DFA'd a million times this offseason, so time's running out for him.
