Draft Compensation/Fine Thread

This is gonna be a running thread to keep track of punishments and compensation, because it's getting hard to keep track of all these one time things.


After some discussion, we've decided to award Cle a 2020 4th (4.19) in lieu of him taking a player that was already taken, as he forfeits the pick for this year (Sea 2019 4th, 4.19). I take some  blame for that as I should have realized Flowers was already owned, and didn't update the pool as such. It's not an equal compensation given the pick will now be a year later, but this is a good reminder to use Ctrl F for every pick you make in the future.

2020 5th round comp pick to KCR for Tyler Fitgerald. Fitgerald was originally drafted in 2016 by LAA, but was somehow left in the draft pool for the 2019 draft pool again after Fitgerald graduated from college. He was AP'd to KCR in the 5th round, whose old GM wasn't around. Thus, it's fair to award KCR a 2020 5th round pick for the lost player.

So, in this deal here, Drew traded me 4.09 in this draft for a bunch of guys; somehow it fell through the crack, and Drew traded it again to Toronto, who flipped it to Hou who picked. Obviously, rather than undo those deals and cause a whole ton of mess, after talking with Dave, we've decided to replace that pick 4.09 and instead reward Boston a pick at the end of the 4th round. It's the easiest way we can think of handling this situation, and making the least bit mess out of it.
