I'm going to Rank and do a write up of the championship teams based on how I remember them. Just so I'm clear I want to make sure I have the right champs before I start the writeups
2011 Texas Rangers 2012 New York Yankees 2013 St Louis Cardinals 2014 Chicago Cubs 2015 Arizona Diamondbacks 2016 San Diego Padres 2017 Pittsburgh Pirates 2018 New York Mets 2019 Detroit Tigers

Our leagues 9th best Champion is technically not a champion. I was able to go back and find Jbart's team that lost to Wood in the finals the year prior in 2012. Here is that team.
SP. Doug Fister SP. Ervin Santana SP. Jose Quintana SP. James McDonald SP. Eric Stults
RP. Bobby Parnell RP. Jared Burton RP. Jon Rauch RP. Joel Peralta RP. Tony Sipp
LF. Mike Trout SS. Derek Jeter 2B. Robinson Cano RF. Allen Craig 3B. Pablo Sandoval DH. Wilin Rosario 1B. Michael Young C. Jonathan Lucroy CF. Angel Pagan
Bench: Brandon Beachy, Vance Worley, Todd Frazier, Drew Stubbs, J.D. Martinez, Kevin Millwood
I went through some transactions and found that he acquired Machado, Bartolo Colon, Michael Pineda and Ivan Nova for the 2013 run.
So he had Machado and Trout, an old Jeter, Cano was probably very good in 13, but I am just absolutely stunned that people say Jbart was one of the most stacked teams in league history. Allen Craig was an All star in 13 and recieved MVP votes, he was released by both the real life and ODC cardinals the following season. The man had Angel Pagan and 40 year old Michael young starting. His CL was Bobby Parnell, who admittedly was a stud before injury, his pitching looks hardly competitive. The fact that this squad rolled through the NL to back to back finals is utterly ridiculous. Jbart's most notable spect at the time was Daniel Corcino and he did not own a draft pick in 14 or 15 and went into 14 FA with 2M in cap space, it's no wonder Matt had a fairly long rebuild with this team. In hindsight I respect Jbart for building a team around Machado and Trout to get to the finals but to argue this journeyman filled roster is a top 5 team in league history is a disgrace.
