The 2020 season is obviously in jeopardy and even if it starts, there will be the looming threat of cancellation. As a result, I think trading and transaction will be depressed in here (as we have already seen) and I think that a potential solution is bringing back compensation picks for impending free agents (including those acquired mid-season) because otherwise GM's will be even less willing to make trades to win a championship that might not even happen. Thoughts?

We already have too many rounds for the players that will sign.

It looks like we're getting a season as of this moment, and having comp picks back for next year's draft makes sense. Again, it depends on what's going to happen with the season.
As of now, I think the likely outcome is a 70-80 game season starting in July. It's already June 2nd, so if we get an announcement by the end of this week, we're going to have to scramble to adjust things such as arbitration numbers, advancement innings/PAs to get things rolling.

Man I need to do my projected standings. I think I simulated wins/losses/ties last year too, but I forget some of my methods.
On a real note --- we should start a thread that pertains to all rules in jeopardy of being out of whack with a potential shortened season. We would also need to work through what a schedule looks like. If it's halved, easy enough. If it's some strange 50-game season then it'll require some thinking as to how many division/rival/interleague games we want as well as what playoffs will look like.

The key really is just for a unilateral decision to be made without vote or democratic process.
