2021 League League Rule Announcements

1. The salary cap (Starting 2021 offseason)will increase to $140 million. This is done to offset a rise in arbitration and farm costs.

2. Arbitration rates(Starting 2021 offseason) will increase according to this schedule. The rates will be allocated based on percentile ranking of players according to Fantrax Scores. Prearbitration years will still be years 1-3, but rates will be increased for years 4-6. For reference, here would be the current salary amounts for each team under the new cap and arbitration rules.

3. Prospect fees (Starting 2021 offseason) will be adjusted:

        a)0-60 will be free
        b)61-85 will cost $500K each
        c)85+ will cost $1M each

4. Amnesties will now cover the full contracts of players, which is raised from the $20 limit of previous amnesties

5. Waiver Eligibility - For a prospect to be eligible for waivers they must have a minimum of 30 PA or 10 IP in the MLB.
6. Hometown Discounts
        The Home-Town Discount will change to the below structure:
        Player owned for less than 1 year = 5% discount
        Player owned for 1 full year = 10% discount
        Player owned for 2 full years = 15% discount
        Player owned for 3 full years = 20% discount
        Player owned for 4 or more years = 25% discount
7. Demoting (1)’s- If you have a (1) scale player on your 40 man roster and want to send him to your minors during the season, they will now be exposed to irrevocable waivers, any team will have the option to claim them and the highest waiver wire team will receive that player. During the offseason you’ll be able to send down (1) scale players freely without them being eligible to be claimed.
8.Sign and Trade Rules - A signed FA can be officially traded at the start of the regular season (day).
