How did you hear about ODC?:
Stan Paz told me about the league. I like how the league is build on managing a full organization including a farm system, balancing both long term and short term objectives.
Previous fantasy experience (please be detailed, e.g. other dynasty leagues, if any):
I've been playing fantasy sports since I was 12 or 13 and am now 25 (so about half my life). I am not currently in any dynasty leagues, but have in the past. I left the leagues do to lack of engagement from the other GMs after the first 2 years. I have wanted to get into a serious league for a long time and was super interested in the model you have created here. I am currently in 2 football leagues and one redraft baseball league. Most of the managers in the baseball league check out by the all star break when their teams aren't performing. I want to get with a serious group in a platform that has farm systems as well as a major league teams. It adds a more realistic experience that is very intriguing to me.
How much time can you commit to the league? We ask that you at least check in daily (not including vacations or extenuating circumstances):
I will be able to check in daily and will be able to commit enough time to effectively run my franchise.
What is your favorite part about playing fantasy baseball? Why are you drawn to ODC?
I like the idea of managing not only a major league roster, but a farm system as well. I also am a fan of the salary cap and service time systems that make the league feel as close to running a real MLB organization as possible. Baseball is my favorite sport and it is so hard to find a group of 10 people (never mind 30) who are engaged in a complex league.
Team(s) applying for:
I'm happy to apply for whatever team is open. I believe in building an affordable foundation of young talent and piecing in value around that. I will need some experience to really understand the scoring system. Once I have a grasp on that I will be able to adjust my management to better compete in the league. This being said, I am most interested in a team with a deep farm and young core. However, beggars can't be choosers and am willing to take any team, whether championship ready or rebuilding, to get involved in the league.
