Hopefully Civale doesn't turn out like Stroman did but I need a bat and Springer seems like a fit. Won't have CF next year but I have two CFs aleady. While Civale is a better SP of mine I feel I have the depth with all the other buns I have and my offense has been too quiet lately.

Accept. Civale is a good (not great) SP, and to have him for the next 1.5 years will help me very much as emmet Sheehan and Ryne Nelson are the only 2 actual SPs I have. Springer is fine but his contract was crazy so I decided to get some of it off my books, and possibly use that money for a good FA acquisition. Slade Cecconi has done pretty terrible in the minors, but he might be something. I’m betting he won’t be.
