Hey All-
Proposal to hold free agency for hitters and pitchers at the same time this offseason, rather than splitting them up like we've done the past few years.
Main benefits of this would be that's it more realistic and teams would no longer need to guesstimate how much money to save/budget for FA pitchers since you'd see the market at the same time as hitters.
Only real downside I can see is that it will lead to a little more down time in the offseason but idk, read a book, go touch some grass, etc.
Let us know your thoughts.
Poll: Should we do FA for hitters and pitchers at the same time?

agree with everything you've said. FA needs to be all at once, lets keep it as realistic as possible.

Great way to suppress the market too

I am good with all at once...but I would strongly suggest we appoint 2-3 FA "moderators" beyond the usual (Dave/Will) to keep an eye on bids. It wouldn't be too much responsibility, just catch bad bids early, etc. If anyone is interested in doing that, I guess indicate it here or in the chat.

With 19 of the 21 votes in favor of moving to one Free Agency in the offseaon, we'll officially update the rules and plan on having Free Agency in early January.
To the owners who didn't vote, shame on you.
