Baltimore Orioles pay 7 mil of BJ Upton's 2012 contract
Mets Give:
SP- Homer Bailey $1m (3) C- John Buck $6m (4) 1B/LF- Jerry Sands $.3m (1)
i accept lose a great center fielder but had to be done too costly for my payroll but gain three good players...

Accept, Mets like this deal for them, because we have Josh Thole who isn't a big downgrade from Buck, we have a ton of pitching depth so we can afford to lose pitching depth, and we already have a lot of depth in a farm and outfield, so we aren't sure if Sands would've even started in the crowded OF. The kid has talent. Pauley provides a much needed bullpen guy. Also while I take on BJ Upton's $20M, he is signed long term and we have plenty of cap available. Can't wait for the Subway Series

Approve, Yanks had to shed some cap space. All in all, fair deal.
