Phillies get:
1B Ryan Howard $20 mil 2016 (2017 option)
Yankees get:
1B Brad Hawpe $0 mil 2014 (mets pay all $3 mil this season, Hawpe is $3 mil in 2013 and 2014) Kyle Kendrick $1.5 mil (6) Pick 55 in 2012 draft Phillies 2013 5th round pick
Accept. Being a Phillies fan I like Howard and I love the value I get him at with him being out for a while. Hopefully he can come back strong and this will pay off.

Veto. Plenty of teams have $20M available and can offer more than a bench 1B, a #5, and two decent picks

Who are the nice players in this deal? Im with Mets except a 5th round pick is about the least decent you can get. Veto

Veto. I dont veto often but lets get real. Kendrick is a long inning reliever who honestly isnt very good. Hawpe is looking to get a sprng training invite. THATS NOT EVEN A CONTRACT. He may not even get on a major league roster. The two picks arent even that great. I would give more for Howard that this.

Due to many complaints about this deal, I'm gonna override the approval here.
I'll come out and say it: I am not a Howard fan. I despise him. However, he can still provide greatly in the HR, RBI and SLG cats.
Both Kendrick and Hawpe are borderline MLB players. The picks don't do much here.
I really don't want to resort to a trade committee but I think that voters need to be less quick to approve on terribly lopsided deals. Maybe have more votes per trade.
