Listed here are the accomplishments of the Chicago White Sox in seasons past.
The following are the awards handed from the White Sox to some of their best players:
Hoyt Wilhelm Award: Received its name from the Hall of Fame reliever. This is given to the best reliever on the Sox.
Aparicio's Glove: Given to the best fielder on the team, this is named after Luis Aparicio, the slick-fielding shortstop.
Joe's Spikes: He may have been shoeless, but when he had his spikes on, Joe Jackson could fly. Awarded to the fastest runner on the team.
The Big Hurt Plaque: Frank Thomas was a slugger that amassed over 500 homers in his career, becoming one of the most feared hitters to ever play. Awarded to the best hitter in the lineup.
Big Ed Walsh Award: Named after Hall of Famer Ed Walsh, this is awarded to the best pitcher on the White Sox.
Eddie Collins Most Valuable Player Award: In honor of one of the best players of all time, this award is handed to the most valuable White Sox.
