Listed here are the accomplishments of the St. Louis Cardinals in seasons past.
The following are the awards handed from the Cardinals to some of their best players:
Isringhausen Plaque: Received its name from the all time saves leader in Cardinal history. This is given to the best reliever on the St. Louis.
Boyer's Glove: Given to the best fielder on the team, this is named after Ken Boyer, the 5-time gold gloving third baseman.
Ozzie's Cleats: Not much of a hitter, but Ozzie could steal you a bag every time he got on base . Awarded to the fastest runner on the team.
Hornsby's Bat: The Rajah won six straight batting titles for the Redbirds in the 1920s and is one of the greatest hitters of all-time. Awarded to the best hitter in the lineup.
Gibson's Rosenbag: Named after Hall of Famer Ed Walsh, this is awarded to the best pitcher on the Redbirds.
Stan Musial Most Valuable Player Award: “Stan the Man” with his seven batting crowns, and one of the greatest hitters to play the game. This award is handed to the most valuable Cardinal.
