The White Sox have struck a deal for slugger Edwin Encarnacion. Sending Alex Gordon, Jhoulys Chacin, and Mark Reynolds to the Yankees, the middle of the White Sox lineup suddenly becomes one of the most formidable in the big leagues. The trio of Encarnacion, Miguel Cabrera, and Giancarlo Stanton will intimidate AL pitchers throughout the second half.
"I'm excited to join a strong team like the White Sox," stated Encarnacion. "Hopefully, we can finally bring a World Series trophy to Chicago."
Encarnacion will be representing the White Sox at the All-Star game as well, keeping it at six representatives for the team.
