Everyone knows the problems the Rockies are facing with their offense, but the Rockies are a team built around solid pitching and GM Tabe is looking to make that last longer. Tim Lincecum and CJ Wilson, both acquired this offseason, are in discussions with the Rockies about long term deals. Wilson's agent and the Rockies have progressed farther and it is apparent Wilson wants a 5 or 6 year deal. Lincecum, however, has been more candid with his demands. Some of the media believes Lincecum should be offered an 8 year deal, while others believe he should be traded. Here are GM Tabe's thoughts on both pitchers:
"We like where we are with Wilson. We are confident he wil be a Rockie for many years to come. Tim, on the other hand, is hard to gauge, but we are doing our best to lock him up long term as well."

Reports from Chicago are that the White Sox are somewhat interested in Lincecum. This leaves some scratching their heads, as the Sox already have a very good rotation.
"Always looking to improve here," GM Michael Terilli commented.

The Tigers are very interested in Lincecum if the Rockies decide to make him available through trade.
