There are many reports that several superstars are going to be on the move before the winter meetings end in Ondeck Circle. Whether these rumors are fact or fiction is to be seen. Before we spread these rumors out more than just pms and emails. Lets get started on a fairly big trade made not to long ago. The Tigers received Brian McCann a catcher who is most likely in last year and a college player who will probably be going in the top 5 in the 2013 Amateur Draft. On the Giants side they acquired 2 mlb players both okay not standouts and they recieved 3 good prospects. Would like to say Tigers win here but the Giants are rebuilding and McCann has 1 year left on contract so this trade is even.
Now on to the fun part the rumors being heared around the league thru pm's,emails,cbox,and trading blocks.
Clayton Kershaw:
To kick off with the rumor mill we will talk about a rumor where the Braves are trying to trade Clayton Kershaw for a prospect and 20+ mil or Kershaw for a talented player who is in year 1-4 and 15+ mil. Teams rumored in on Kershaw are the Boston Red Sox,Seattle Mariners,Tampa Bay Rays, and Chicago Cubs.
Team likely to land him: Tampa Bay Rays
Joey Votto:
Now on to the player several teams are trying to get Mr.Votto. He has a big fairly cheap contract for a player of his caliber. Rumors are that the Brewers are wanting 3-4 talented prospects and 2 1st round picks. If you fail to meet those recquirements then dont even bother with Votto. Teams rumored in on Votto are the Tampa Bay Rays,Chicago White Sox,Seattle Mariners,Pittsburgh Pirates,and Miami Marlins.
Team likely to land him: Miami Marlins
David Price:
David Price is a player who is rumored but is a name that has a 5% chance of moving this offseason. The Chicago Cubs are wanting something similar to what the Brewers want for Votto but Brewers are most likely gonna take less than what they want to rebuild there team and make it be able to contend in 2014-2015. Many teams are intersted in David Price but none will be willing to give up the Price.
Team likely to land him:Detroit Tigers
Justin Verlander:
This rumor was heard thru pm wheter its true who knows but Verlander is being linked to being dealt to some team in the NL with a logo of an animal. That narrows it down but still like 6-8 teams still on the list watch out for this type of trade and dont be surprised if it does happen.
Team likely to land him: St. Louis Cardinals
