shouldn't his salary reflect the hometown discount on the master roster? I honestly can't track down any indication when he became a Dodger, but I can find an old Dodger trade block post from over a year ago that he's on. I think that puts him at 11.7M for the 10% discount. Wouldn't bother me, but it could make a difference in bids I can put in going forward. Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong LMs but you have to take into consideration your hometown discount in the bid.
For example, if the bid was 3yrs 10mil, you could bid 3yrs 9mil citing your hometown discount as the reason you can bid lower but still win the bid.
So I'm pretty sure you paid what you offered.

I was told by WSox that you bid what you bid, then the discount is taken out afterwards. Makes sense since there's less math to botch if you're adjusting for different lengths on top of figuring out if the discount applies.

Dodgers is correct, the discount does not need to be specifically mentioned when you bid. Unless he can prove that he owned Morales during the 2011 season as well though, he will only receive the 5% 1 year discount on him. I looked, and the earliest mention of Morales I could find was a trade block this January.
