Veto. Al, I know you want to gain money for this year, but that doesn't mean you HAVE to do a deal right now; still have a few months 'til Opening Day. Right now you also are under the cap by $2.5M, so why is there an urgency to acquire more cap? Only reason I could see is if you have another deal in place. Most likely you aren't going to win the championship this year and you are going to be in a terrible situation for next season with all of the obligations you are taking on. You shouldn't have to give $8M more next year. Plus, to be honest 2014 money is probably more valuable than 2013 money at this point being that free agency is over.
