Finally after 4 attempts done not as good as the other ones but its w/e and the number in (quotes) indicates there ranking i have in the league. NOTE These rankings were before michael got raped by greg.
AL East:
1st: Baltimore Orioles(9th): Probably a big surprise that I have the Orioles finishing ahead of his biggest rival and the better team Rays but the 2 teams are not that big of a spread where Orioles can not win and having way better depth helps.
2nd: Tampa Bay Rays(7th): the favorite to win the division to just about everyone but injuries are already starting to come in to affect. The team does have better talent than o's but no depth what so ever.
3rd New York Yankees(15th): for the 2nd straight season it looks like the world series winner will not make the playoffs.
4th: Toronto Blue Jays(22nd): the gm started the offseason aggressivly signing Kyle Lohse and Carlos Beltran but quickly went dead and now the chances of them making any noise are close to 0%
5th: Boston Red Sox(29th): loaded in the farm and actually has a chance to finish 4th place this year if there top prospects get the call and do some damage.
AL Central:
1st: Kansas City Royals(1st): Made the biggest splash this offseason thru trading by forfeiting his farm for Upton,McCutchen,Braun,Weaver, and Kershaw team to me is the team to beat this season which may not be a good thing.
2nd: Detroit Tigers(2nd): Has been the team to beat the last 2 years and some people could argure this year but still no World Series title last year it looked to be all but theres but getting beat out by a surprised Yankees team.
3rd: Chicago White Sox(5th): Don't see why the White Sox are getting so much love over the Mets,Cardinals and even the Royals. The team is very talented but lack of depth in the offensive category will probably hurt them.
4th: Cleveland Indians(11th): Made some notables moves this offseason signing Billinglsey,Jackson, and trading for all star Ellsbury. The moves are great but still might not be enough to put the Indians over the top best case scenario is they get a wildcard spot but that is a bold prediction.
5th: Minnesotta Twins(18th): Had a questionable trade early in the offseason trading for David Price by giving up a couple of top prospects. The team does not look ready to contend any time soon in this division.
AL West:
1st: Seattle Mariners(10th): Not the favorite to anyone it seems but should not be to far off peoples list from the Angels.
2nd: Los Angeles Angels(6th): Team is pretty much the same from 2012 and i think from 2011 also they can not really make any trades since they refuse to move there star players and they are constantly having to get under cap by the end of 2014 this team looks to be competing for 3rd place.
3rd: Texas Rangers:(12th): from 2011 champs to medicore 2012 season and 2013 a bit better but that probably wont be good enough even with Sale and Pedroia leading the way for the Rangers.
4th: Oakland A's:(19th): Traded for A Rod then waived him and now has like 4-5 other big contracts with Howard,Napoli and Sanchez leading the way and a medicore farm the future for the A''s is blurry.
NL East:
1st: New York Mets:(3rd): Close to being the best team in the league but the outfield is keeping them out of it.Should have no problem winning the east division.
2nd: Washington Nationals:(16th) probably another surpise pick here but the nationals are not that bad but the owner has me questioning the teams future but still probably a top 3 infield and the rotation is young but still okay.
3rd: Miami Marlins:(14th) reason why the marlins are ranked higher is because im more familar with the owner and the team is not bad its just lack of depth, young team, and the rotation is medicore at best and no one in farm is coming to help it.
4th: Atlanta Braves:(26th) confusing moves this offseason and the career of the gm Alex is confusing constantly rebuilding, then contending, rebuilding. It;s like a merry go round and it may end April 15th.
5ht: Phillies:(27th) decided to follow the Astros in a bad choice to rebuild when there is no one to build around except 2-3 top 100 prospects and okay guys. Makes more sense to try and contend then rebuild for 2015. See this team spending everything in offseason for free agency.
NL Central:
1st: Cardinals: (4th) best young talented player in Mike Trout and also has Anthony Rizzo but the biggest question is who is there number 1 they did go out and sign a pretty good starter in Garza but not really a ace. Guess you could make a case for Wainwright.
2nd: Reds(8th) only real team that has a chance to beat the cardinals in the central but not likely gonna happen. team traded away best starter in baseball in verlander for cespedes which hurt there rotation but with Cueto still here did not take that big of a hit.
3rd: Chicago Cubs(13th): Ranked 13th in my power rankins and have them finishing 3rd call them what you want cardinals, pirates,or cubs but this may be the season that the Curse is Broken with a chance to make the playoffs the gm Greg knows anything can happen in playoffs.
4th: Milwaukee Brewers(21st): Made probably 2 of the worst trades this offseason practically giving away Aramis and not getting much talent make for Votto but who knows maybe the former reliever Medlen wont be a bust.
5th: Houston Astros:(28th): See phillies.
6th: Pittsburgh Pirates(30th): New team still sucky mlb team for the new pirates, but the good news is help is on its way.
NL West:
1st: Arizona Diamondbacks(17th): ranked 17th seems low for a possible division winner but the team is not great pretty much its Strasburg and Pablo.
2nd: Colorado Rockies(20th): only team with a real shot to beat the Dbacks but still the shot is far off. If the gm Jake is serious he should see the A's,Jays,Astros,Brewers,Braves and maybe even the Dodgers for some talent come late April.
3rd: San Francisco Giants:(23rd): boring team not much to say the best player is probably Buerhle but most valuable player could be Starling Marte a once promisng player and still is.
4th: Los Angeles Dodgers:(24th): Had the most money in offseason at one point but spent the money in the worst way possible first he tried to copy a method by Max that everyone knew would fail by signing Morales,Vasquez, and someone else to long deals just to get them cheaper. Now these players should be on the block come late april.
5th: San Diego Padres:(25th): last nl west team but surprise not the worst in the league but this division does have nearly all 5 teams in the top 20. The padres like the A's have a blurry future not much of a farm and not much of a mlb team but that seems to be the whole nl west.
