Not as Quick Questions...
1. What experience do you have playing fantasy baseball?
I have been playing in various fantasy baseball league's with the likes of keepers, private, and auction leagues that all run as deep as 20 teams. Currently I am still in many of these leagues but returning this league is my main focus. The real reason I left the league was because after I made the post season in 2012 and lost I was extremely frustrated with how I performed. I got stressed about my salary cap and panicked I did everything I could to get under the salary cap. I added draft picks, prospects to help for the future but as I was doing that I made a lot of trades not thinking as much as I should have and then I got even more stressed and with school starting back and stuff I lost a lot of time to this league and did not think I had the time to turn the team around that I messed up.
2. How often are you available online to be contacted by your fellow owners in this league (trade talk and such)
I am an extremely active owner and have improved my knowledge in fantasy baseball and have grown and learned from the mistakes I have made in this league and I am sorry for that. I have school from 9-2 M-F and I am almost always available to reply to pms/emails.
3. What kind of team would you be willing to take over? (The options would include: A team with a chance to compete this year, a team with a chance to compete in the near future, a team that needs alot of rebuilding / owner work.
I would take any team just to get back into this league whether it be the Angels or the worst team open. I am ready to prove to you guys that I am a good owner.
Long Answer...
1. We play in a total franchise league (Read the rules in the rules section to get an idea of how we play)... What would be your general game plan while running a team in this league?
My plan would be to take time in my trades more patience and field the best offers on each player before moving them. I would be building for not only the present but also keeping the future in my sight. It also depends on the team I take if it is a team like the Angels over the cap I would do what I always do now and take time and see what the best offers are out there and I am aware of the amnesty clause and it could very well come into the effect again depending on the team I have but I would try and get under different ways before wasting it.
2. This is a league with 30 teams in it, and as such it can be expected that there will be a rather large number of teams that will not contend every season. Would you be ok with building for the future? Do you need to always be in competition in order to remain interested in the league?
As much as I would love to be in competition always the reality is in a league like this with so many competitive owners it's virtually impossible for a owner to do that. Prospects are important in leagues like this, and picks are also a nice way to acquire young talent. This is a very deep league, I do not expect to have a team full of studs with all the players we share among 29 other teams, I would be committed to this team through thick and thin.
3. Any other information you think we as a league should know in order to best determine your eligibility?
I feel that I have come along way as a fantasy baseball player since I have been here and know a lot more about what I need to do to be successful in a league like this. The last time I was here I was just 14 and knew a little about prospects which is what I was trying to build my team around when I lost in the post season but now that I have gotten older and my knowledge with the game of baseball has expanded I feel like I can be a great contribute to this league. I will be one of the most active general managers in this league and reply to anything and everything no matter how bad the offer is and will always show respect to my peers in this league.
I know I messed up but I am man enough to admit my mistake that I made. I don't blame you for not wanting me in this league but I was only 14 and have grown since then. I'm just asking for one more chance, I don't care if you hate me one more chance in this league to prove you wrong will make me happy.
