1. What experience do you have playing fantasy baseball?
I am in 5 other fantasy baseball leagues. 2 keeper leagues (both for money) one free league with my family members and friends and 2 other salary cap leagues like this one (MLB Central and High Heat(For Money)) I have been in many leagues like this one that always die however they are my favorite type of league so i always get in them if there are any. This league is obviously very stable and i will wait any amount of time to get in a league like this.
2. How often are you available online to be contacted by your fellow owners in this league (trade talk and such)
I am very active, i am on every single day to chat usually in the afternoon or evenings. I have school in the mornings on weekdays however i have my phone on me then so i can still check in and respond to PMs or emails.
3. What kind of team would you be willing to take over? (The options would include: A team with a chance to compete this year, a team with a chance to compete in the near future, a team that needs alot of rebuilding / owner work.
Any team would suit me fine whether it be the worst or the best i will take any team so that i can get in this league and try to show that i am a smart and knowledgeable owner.
1. We play in a total franchise league (Read the rules in the rules section to get an idea of how we play)... What would be your general game plan while running a team in this league?
Well it would depend on the team that i took over, regardless though i would try and make trades to better my team. I would see all offers for a player before jumping ona single offer for them. I wouldnt want to destroy my farm in a win now mentality though as i would rather be on the younger side. I also love pitching.
2. This is a league with 30 teams in it, and as such it can be expected that there will be a rather large number of teams that will not contend every season. Would you be ok with building for the future? Do you need to always be in competition in order to remain interested in the league?
I would like to be in competition however upon taking over a team i would run a roster diagnostic and decide which direction would be best for my organization. I would do the best to imagine that this is real life and let my love of MiLB and prospects come to light.
3. Any other information you think we as a league should know in order to best determine your eligibility?
My real name is Ben however i go by my middle name Whitaker. I have been playing fantasy baseball since i was 13 years old (I am sure you can imagine how many people i annoyed and pissed off being a 13 year old in a league) and over the years my baseball brains have grown and they can only continue to grow. I have a passion for baseball and i dont quit no matter what. I would absolutley love to join this league and i will wait any amount of time. I highly respect this league and everyone in it andi would like to prove to you that i can hang with you and that my passion for baseball is not matched. Thank you
