With the first post yesterday and now today, we have our 1st team rosters for both leagues. The AL Edition featured a lot of players from just a few squads. Also, a lot of the talent has already established themselves at the MLB level or have played at least a season at the level. This is with the exception of Kris Bryant and Francisco Lindor. Javier Baez had the least amount of playing time for someone at the MLB level.
C- Salvador Perez (ARZ)
The young catcher for the Royals has had a solid season for the DBacks in ODC. Just really entering his prime with a young Kansas lineup that should continue to get better in the coming years, he looks to be a solid backstop for championship hopefuls for years to come. His 17HR are always nice from behind the dish.
1B- Jose Abreu (MIL)
Talk about an outstanding first season. While most predicted the power, absolutely no one saw the production he has provided coming this soon into his MLB career. That being said Milwaukee has itself a very solid young piece to build around for years to come. 1B tends to be a bit of a kick in the dick when it comes to finding one.
2B- Anthony Rendon (ARZ)
Injury Concerns coming out of Rice were probably the only reason this guy wasn't a top of the charts prospect throughout the minors. But he's showing his talents now that he's in DC. While the long term concerns of his health still linger for some his current offensive production from the 2B position is a very hard thing to find.
3B- Nolan Arenado (PIT)
Always a bit of a wildcard. The talent has always been there but attitude concerns amongst other things always put in doubt his true future. Well, he's been great since getting to Coors demonstrated by his 294 16HR year he's having at the moment.
SS- Addison Russell (PIT)
Talent is off the charts and should be very interesting to see where he fits and how he does with the likes of Soler, Baez, Bryant and the others in Chicago. Power is outstanding. Should be able to stay at the premium spot for some time as well.
OF- Mike Trout (MIA)
Obviously it's Mike Fucking Trout.
OF- Yasiel Puig (PIT)
One of the latest Cuban sensations. Power and Speed Galore. As well as DUIs and attitude problems like no other.
OF- Byron Buxton (CHC)
Some might see this as a gratuitous add with the likes of Bryce Harper, Wil Myers, Billy Hamilton, Christian Yelich and others who have got to the MLB. Combined with Buxtons injury. But the talent is that outstanding. Speed, Contact and Power in bunches.
SP #1- Julio Teheran (PIT)
Was a #1 prospect in Baseball then imploded then saved himself from the depths. Has looked phenomenal in the 2014 campaign to say the least.
SP #2- Gerrit Cole (CHC)
While the results haven't exactly been ACE material, the potential is still there and the results have been there. Serious man crush for myself in this situation. One of the few players I aggressively hunt that is on Cubs roster. Prick.
SP #3- Yordano Ventura (PIT)
What a fastball.
SP #4- Tyson Ross (CHC)
At this point these 2 are just alternating potential future ace with potential future ace with each other and it's scary. If he had a better offense on his team he'd probably be closer to 20 wins then he is.
SP #5- Hyun-Jin Ryu (ARZ)
Another one of these Asian Pro imports who has found success at the MLB level. Gets lost in chaos of Kershaw and Greinke being apart of the same rotation.
