World Series Curse or .....
Do you believe in curses? To be more specific with the question, do you believe in the On-Deck Circle World Series Curse? A lot of people know this curse as whoever wins the World Series will be absent from the league and eventually replaced. The Texas Rangers from 2011 after winning vanished but him vanishing was more of a reward, after we got the greatest owner in the league Bill. The New York Yankees from 2012, Wood after winning the World Series he vanished from thin air and was later replaced but when he came back he took over what is known as the worst franchise in the league. So that is again more of a reward than a curse and finally, the St. Louis Cardinals from 2013 Jake Bartley seemed to have just disappeared from the league.
Now the Chicago Cubs are the 2014 On-Deck Circle World Series Winner and speculation is going around if the so called "curse" goes on another year? Greg the Cubs general manager says "there is no way I leave." So if he holds truth to that the curse will end. Or will it?
Is the curse really owners disappearing from the league or is it that the previous World Series winner does not make the playoffs? The Rangers, Cardinals, and Yankees have not made the playoffs in the previous season, after winning the championship. Will the trend continue another year for the empire that the Chicago Cubs has created? While this is not likely to continue there is always that weird chance with the Pirates havigna team that can take the Central division. Only two teams would need to out beat the Cubs in the wildcard for the "curse" to continue. So I will ask you again do you believe in the On-Deck Circle World Series Curse?
