10. Phillies Good starters and decent depth pieces make this team very flexible. Rosario is the only batter position group I'd worry about, although it would be a good idea to add 2-3 more outfielders. The rotation is a workhorse rotation, founded more on durability than skill. Still, you could do worse than a Verlander, McCarthy, Moore trio. The bullpen is loaded with sleeper relievers, Alvarez, Rodriguez, and Casilla.
Best Batter: Matt Holliday Worst Batter: Gordon Beckham Best Pitcher: Brandon McCarthy Worst Pitcher: Jhoulys Chacin

9. Indians The classic stars and scrubs roster is at the forefront here. The Indians roster is loaded with superpowers: Cano, Longoria, Jones, and Scherzer, but other positions are neglected. Liriano is the only other SP I'd trust. The bullpen needs serious work and the lack of depth is alarming. SS particularly is in need of some care. As long as Gonzalez doesn't rack up too many PA's then it should be fine.
Best Batter: Robinson Cano Worst Batter: Marwin Gonzalez Best Pitcher: Max Scherzer Worst Pitcher: Evan Meek

8. Rockies This roster looks like exactly what I'd expect after a 10-team ESPN draft so that's a good sign. Firepower from Gattis, Votto, Dozier, and a quintuplet of solid outfielders makes this team hard to beat. The rotation is very good but the Rockies need strong returns from TJ-recovering Corbin and Perez. For now though, I like this team all around. Bullpen is solid as well.
Best Batter: Joey Votto Worst Batter: Chris Owings Best Pitcher: Chris Sale Worst Pitcher: Brian Wilson
Offensive Score: 43 Pitching Score: 42 Total Score: 85

7. Mets Great outfield and a very good rotation make this roster playoff-worthy. Harper is still waiting on that foretold breakout season and Choo should return to favorable conditions in Texas. Harvey's back and will be the rotation stalwart. Infield depth is lacking and therefore it's hard to tell what can happen if an injury occurs. You can expect 200 innings from Gallardo, Leake, and Buerhle almost always. Yimi Garcia is an underrated asset.
Best Batter: Bryce Harper Worst Batter: Stephen Drew Best Pitcher: Matt Harvey Worst Pitcher: Ian Krol
Offensive Score: 71 Pitching Score: 31 Total Score: 102

6. Marlins Donaldson, Seager, and Trout lead this offense. I'm worried about Cron and Miller owning their respective positions but the OF depth is great. Not a fan of the rotation but Sabathia can't reasonably be worse than last year. Not a fan of the bullpen either too much. Trout supports this team in the same way that Jose Abreu supports the Brewers.
Best Batter: Mike Trout Worst Batter: Jose Ramirez Best Pitcher: Chris Tillman Worst Pitcher: Matt Harrison
Offensive Score: 72 Pitching Score: 35 Total Score: 107

5. Cubs Steamer is not of fan of the Cubs' infield. Josh Hamilton is also probably a lost asset. The pitching is incredible here but you can't survive on pitching alone. Kershaw, Stroman, Cole, Hamels, Zim is as good as it gets. Desmond isn't projected to have his average return to .280 and his power and speed both fall as well. Neil Walker is the unexpected second best batter on the team. Again, that rotation is insane.
Best Batter: Jayson Werth Worst Batter: Francisco Cervelli Best Pitcher: Clayton Kershaw Worst Batter: R.A. Dickey
Offensive Score: 68 Pitching Score: 42 Total Score: 110

4. Pirates The combination of Puig and Heyward makes this team special. Add in Hamilton's SB total and you get an outrageous outfield. The middle infield is lacking but Lucroy and Lind should make for one of the best C/1B combos. The rotation is incredible too but with youth comes stability concerns. Taijuan Walker and Carlos Martinez are ready to take the next step.
Best Batter: Yasiel Puig Worst Batter: Didi Gregorius Best Pitcher: Zack Greinke Worst Pitcher: Burch Smith
Offensive Score: 69 Pitching Score: 42 Total Score: 111

3. Giants The Giant's have the most depth I've seen so far and the best combination of headlining players at each position as well. Tulo, Hanley, and Pujols are the three batting stars but Oswaldo Arcia is not far behind. A 30 HR season is definitely in the works. Add in Dickerson, Ellsbury, Singleton, and Rasmus and you get a great group of batters. Wood's strange delivery freaks some people out but I'm perfectly fine projecting him for a 200K season. Hutchison and Fiers are also underrated. The bullpen is a major strength too.
Best Batter: Troy Tulowitzki Worst Batter: Alberto Callaspo Best Pitcher: Corey Kluber Worst Pitcher: Brian Flynn
Offensive Score: 75 Pitching Score: 49 Total Score: 124

2. White Sox This roster benefits from not having many at all bad players in addition to the core four like the Indians roster. Stanton, Bautista, Posey, Upton, and Edwin boost the team's offense into the stratosphere. The rotation has tons of depth, but Steamer likes some of the pitchers more than I do. Kenley is a great closer (injured for the first few weeks) but there are other good options below him. The middle infield is the only positional flaw. Not my favorite for #2, but what Steamer thinks.
Best Batter: Giancarlo Stanton Worst Batter: Emilio Bonifacio Best Pitcher: Jacob deGrom Worst Pitcher: Pedro Baez
Offensive Score: 125 Pitching Score: 42 Total Score: 167

1. Diamondbacks McCutchen, Salvy, Braun, Rendon and others make up a solid batting core. I don't see a single weakness for the team. Every position has a good player to man it and there is still depth. Rotation is led by World Series superstar Bumgarner and joined by Shields, Ryu, Arrieta, Tanaka, Darvish. The DBacks have really cornered the market in Asia. Bullpen is great too. Nothing at all I can complain about.
Best Batter: Andrew McCutchen Worst Batter: Alex Rios Best Pitcher: Madison Bumgarner Worst Pitcher: Juan Carlos Oviedo
Offensive Score: 123 Pitching Score: 46 Total Score: 169
