As a note, I made the rankings based on if everyone was trying to win and used their prospects to the fullest degree. The scores I put next to each team's category are created from a combination of player scores, loosely based off of Steamer projections.
30. Blue Jays Worst team in the league offensively with part-time players contributing for the most part. No starters worthy of mention but relief pitching has some strengths. Sam Tuivailala has the potential to produce big K/9 numbers, and Jumbo Diaz should be mentioned as the Reds backup closer at the moment.
Best Batter: Henry Urruttia Worst Batter: Juan Lagares Best Pitcher: Jumbo Diaz Worst Pitcher: Hector Noesi
Offensive Score: -44 Pitching Score: 15 Total Score: -29

29. Yankees Not much to see here. Part time players produce most of the value and even close prospects don't turn in positive grades. No starters to speak of as well but a strong relief core leads the team. Claudio, Medina, and Matusz should turn in solid years.
Best Batter: Matt Duffy Worst Batter: Daniel Descalso Best Pitcher: Yoervis Medina Worst Pitcher: Keyvius Sampson
Offensive Score: -34 Pitching Score: 10 Total Score: -24

28. Cardinals This team is on the rebound but this season is already down the drain. All the Cards can hope for is contributions from Piscotty, Urshela, and Pompey in their rookie seasons. Young prospects compose most of the team so it's hard to tell what can be produced from Gonzales, DeSclafani, and Butler. Pretty bad relief corp here.
Best Batter: Nick Markakis Worst Batter: Freddy Galvis Best Pitcher: Marco Gonzales Worst Pitcher: Daniel Corcino
Offensive Score: -34 Pitching Score: 12 Total Score: -22

27. Braves This team generally benefits more from not having bad players than actually having good players. Dyson can be counted on for plenty of steals but not much else to see here. The pitching is composed of mostly fringe-roster-worthy folks. Pat Venditte is a wildcard.
Best Batter: Rob Refsnyder Worst Batter: Hernan Perez Best Pitcher: Aaron Barrett Worst Pitcher: Enny Romero
Offensive Score: -15 Pitching Score: 7 Total Score: -8

26. Angels This team is similar to the Braves. Not too many bad players but not many good ones either. Slightly better pitching pushes the Angels past with the help of Nick Tropeano. There are a couple AAA prospects who could come up mid-season and help.
Best Batter: Hak-Ju Lee Worst Batter: Christian Vasquez Best Pitcher: Nick Tropeano Worst Pitcher: Roberto Hernandez

25. Reds The Reds' pitching really saves them from falling further here. A mix of veterans and youths salvage some innings for the roster. Brandon Belt is the team powerhouse but there's not much else to speak of besides Fowler and him. Interested to see what rapidly falling Ranaudo, Erik Johnson, and Jake Marisnick can do.
Best Batter: Brandon Belt Worst Batter: Jake Marisnick Best Pitcher: Brett Cecil Worst Pitcher: Anthony Ranaudo
Offensive Score: -25 Pitching Score: 19 Total Score: -6

24. Padres Quantity over quality here. Lots of marginal players on the team bring the grade down. A couple prospects are close to helping in part-time roles like Andrew Susac. A ton of #4 starters compose most of the value. Porcello is the pitching ace to speak of but Blake Treinen is someone to keep an eye on.
Best Batter: Steve Pearce Worst Batter: Kris Negron Best Pitcher: Rick Porcello Worst Pitcher: Jake Buchanan
Offensive Score: -27 Pitching Score: 33 Total Score: 6

23. Mariners The team took a hit with Jurickson Profar now out for the season. Rookies Jake Lamb and Francisco Lindor should boost the team value with power and steals, respectively. Heaney has a chance to instantly be the staff #1. Odorizzi and Webster shouldn't be underrated either. Rizzo is obviously the MVP here though.
Best Batter: Anthony Rizzo Worst Batter: Andrew Romine Best Pitcher: Andrew Heaney Worst Pitcher: Jonathan Pettibone
Offensive Score: -4 Pitching Score: 16 Total Score: 12

22. Orioles Altuve, Kinsler, and Goldschmidt aren't enough to outweigh the rest of the team's flaws. Hechavarria, Upton, and Iglesias suck a ton of offensive prowess out of the roster. A healthy collection of #3 and #4 starters complete the rotation but there's not much of a bullpen to speak of.
Best Batter: Paul Goldschmidt Worst Batter: Adeiny Hechavarria Best Pitcher: Tyson Ross Worst Pitcher: David Buchanan

21. Astros The Astros don't have many glaring weaknesses besides 2B but there aren't many offensive powerhouses either. Lawrie, Sandoval, and Morrison form a decent infield trio to lean on. A bounceback season from McCann should boost the team a bit, and the outfield depends on Span's regression. Lester headlines a decent rotation through and through.
Best Batter: Pablo Sandoval Worst Batter: Mike Aviles Best Pitcher: Jon Lester Worst Pitcher: Tanner Roark

20. Royals This team has a little star power in Freeman but the lackluster Braves offense around him might dilute his true value. Norris and Myers move to more difficult ballparks. Not too much owner-controlled decrease in value to be fair. Schoop shouldn't be counted on even though he brings solid power from 2B. Fantastic bullpen but that's only worth so much. Great rotation as well. Main problem here is lineup.
Best Batter: Freddie Freeman Worst Batter: Jonathan Schoop Best Pitcher: David Price Worst Pitcher: Tommy Kahnle

19. Tigers Veterans aplenty here, which in this case is good. Tigers went for stability over potential and Steamer believes it will pay off. Fielder and Wieters should bounce back nicely, and you know what you're getting from Rollins, Zobrist, and Murphy. The rotation has a really good front group but it falls off quickly. Great bullpen as well.
Best Batter: Prince Fielder Worst Batter: Jace Peterson Best Pitcher: Jeff Samardzija Worst Pitcher: Hector Santiago

18. Rays Three guys you can count on here are Gonzalez, Martinez, and Santana. They should be good for around 65 home runs alone. The rest of the lineup can produce solid SB numbers because of Andrus, Aoki, Pagan, and Gordon. The rotation is shaky but if everything breaks right, then it can be very good. Bad bullpen.
Best Batter: Carlos Santana Worst Batter: D.J. LeMahieu Best Pitcher: Andrew Cashner Worst Pitcher: Travis Wood

17. Brewers Jose Abreu is pretty much what is keeping the team afloat. Abreu practically outweighs every bad player on the team (almost).Souza and Calhoun are young outfielders who should produce a sizable bit of offense. The rotation isn't great, but Nelson, McHugh, and Petit are a decent group. Britton and Benoit lead the bullpen, which has good depth in the minors.

16. Rangers There are some pretty good pieces all around. Butler will hopefully be repaired by the A's. Gomez leads the pack because he can provide great fantasy stats in every category. Peraza might help by mid-season. Carrasco has finally put it all together but just needs a whole season as the canvas for his breakout season. Don't underestimate the bullpen either, with McGee, Grimm, and Abad.

15. Dodgers The home run power here comes from either VMart or Chris Davis. Both should experience some regression to the mean. Not too many standout players on offense elsewise, but good options everywhere besides 3B. The rotation is good but I don't like the looks of Weaver or Wilson. The injury depth keeps this team at this point.
Best Batter: Victor Martinez Worst Batter: Sam Fuld Best Pitcher: Johnny Cueto Worst Pitcher: Kyle Kendrick

14. Athletics Overall, the composition of the roster is solid but like the Twins, don't have much room for growth. You mainly know what you're getting from Carpenter and Cespedes, but Mauer's offense will be the decision maker. Decent top three starters in Gio, Iwakuma, and Lynn but steep cliff afterwards. Not good bullpen (Strop's cool though).
Best Batter: Matt Carpenter Worst Batter: Zack Cozart Best Pitcher: Hisashi Iwakuma Worst Pitcher: John Axford

13. Nationals The offense isn't very good but those starters are something to behold. Ortiz, Gordon, and Zimmerman comprise most of the firepower but there are question marks at other positions. The rotation is stacked with Felix, Stras, and other solid options. Masterson is a big wilcard. Meh bullpen but I thoroughly believe in Warren and Fields.
Best Batter: David Ortiz Worst Batter: Grady Sizemore Best Pitcher: Felix Hernandez Worst Pitcher: Kyuji Fujikawa

12. Twins Nobody really stands out but it's hard to knock any position either. Everything is filled and ready for action. Pence and LaRoche should provide most of the offense. Pence's consistency can't be beat, and this roster is a mold of that. Hard to see them doing poorly but not really too much room for growth. Great rotation though with Richards, Keuchel, Archer, etc. Rookie options Folty and Sanchez will determine the Twins' fate.
Best Batter: Hunter Pence Worst Batter: Will Middlebrooks Best Pitcher: Chris Archer Worst Pitcher: Craig Breslow

11. Red Sox The Red Sox are in the opposite situation of the last few teams. They have tons of potential and could place ten spots better once the season is over, or the prospect-heavy roster will flop. I personally salivate over this rotation but Steamer doesn't particularly like rookies so it suffers. Tons of minors depth and a star-studded team should help them easily beat the #11 projection.
Best Batter: Miguel Cabrera Worst Batter: Christian Bethancourt Best Pitcher: Jose Fernandez Worst Pitcher: Drake Britton
