The Tampa Bay Rays recently acquired the young phenomenal outfielder, Byron Buxton, in exchange they sent out Mike Trout to the Chicago Cubs. Matt Forbz was criticized on the deal by the "experts," of the On-Deck Circle Fantasy Baseball League. Yesterday, the Tampa Bay Rays general manager was private messaged by the Kansas City Royals in regards to outfielder Byron Buxton.

"I have a feeling I'm gonna regret not taking it but Buxton cost me Trout, so I might as well take the risk myself," Matt Forbz stated. "I thought Oren was gonna sack up and take Buxton but he refuses to make a deal slightly out of his favor."

As of right now it does not seem as if the Tampa Bay Rays will be moving Byron Buxton but if a team can trade Mike Trout, you have to think Buxton is movable. The rumored offer that the Kansas City Royals sent for Buxton was Michael Taylor, Brandon Crawford, Joe Ross, Garrett Whitley and it might have included another piece or two. The Philadelphia Phillies were asked by the Tampa Bay Rays for Christian Yelich and Addison Russell. The deal was ultimately turned down by current general manager Oren Jungries.

One of the quietest Winter Meetings in recent memory occurred this season. No major trades were made at the Winter Meetings but a lot of rumors were leaked out and major trades have been talked about. Look for the talks to heat up in the Buxton negotiations and perhaps for the Chicago Cubs general manager Greg Habil to move a starting before the New Years. As the team will look to add a offensive player or perhaps restock the farm a little. Despite the quiet Winter Meetings, this Free Agency class is arguably the best class ever. So look for the money to be thrown around like candy out of Miami Marlins van with T-Sack inside.

Another trade rumor being leaked out is the Cincinnati Reds prospect Corey Seager. There are mystery teams in discussion but some teams likely linked to the young stud would be the Milwaukee Brewers and San Francisco Giants.

"Trade talks are just in beginning stages, nothing likely right now." one owner reported.

Three headed rotation odds of signing all three players, are highly unlikely. As every team wants at least one. Zack Greinke seems to be several teams prize jewel but Stephen Strasburg is a close second to others. Strasburg had a rough start with the Washington Nationals before being traded to the Colorado Rockies. Strasburg made it to the disabled list three times last season and missed a large portion of the season. Greinke had an incredible season to say the least for the Philadelphia Phillies last year and with the team discount look for the Philadelphia Phillies to be major players for Greinke. The New York Mets general manager Jack Byrnes has a plan to go all in for the free agent starting pitchers. However, with the recent acquisition of Julio Teheran you will think the team will be willing to spend 25-30 mil on one of Greinke, Strasburg or Cueto.

"I have no targets." Jack Byrnes stated.

A team planning on contending currently is not targeting anyone for Free Agency with $50 million in cap room and several holes.

After a 5-year run in Minnesota, general manager Brent was fired. The team did very little only making the post-season once, which was in 2014. The team knocked out the Detroit Tigers by a score of 8-5-1 and then tied the then American League Champs Oakland Athletics. However, the team lost due to regular season performance. The league commissioner and league deemed Brent as inactive and replaced him with the new owner Clayton, who might also be on the hot seat with former Mets owner Owen Lynch in the waiting.

In his tender with the Minnesota Twins, Brent held a 694-641 record with one playoff appearance and zero General Manger of the Year Awards. The team was also known for being used as a farm system for some teams. Which might have been why the firing took so long. Brent still had an impressive tenure in On-Deck, to be able to finish above .500 in 5-year in the American League Central is nothing short of amazing.

A new owner wins his division in his first year in On-Deck Circle. That has never been done before but the chance for new comer Jamie Sayer looks promising, to say the least. With the two time American League Champion Oakland Athletics on a major rebuild and the Los Angeles Angels still in the middle of a 10-year rebuild. The only team that rookie general manager Jamie Sayer has to beat out is the Texas Rangers. Many are saying that it will be an easy task for Sayer. If it were not for the firing of the unsuccessful Sack, T-Sack. Jamie may not have been put in such a great situation. Time can only tell how Sayer, will spend his money in free agency to fill out the rest of his team.
