Okay so I'm going to be running a ODC Home Run Derby and here is how its going to work.
Player Selection
Each team will select 1 player on their team to participate in the 2016 ODC Home Run Derby, this must be a MLB player. If you have not selected a player to represent your team by 8/1/16 then I will select a player from your team (Most likely whoever leads your team in HRs).
Derby Format
Week 1 (8/4/16-8/10/16)- 15 Head to Head Matchups will take place, the player with the most HRs at the end of the week wins and advances to week 2.The player with the most HRs overall of all participants will receive a bye for week 2.
Week 2 (8/11/16-8/17/16)- 7 Head to Head Matchups will take place, the player with the most HRs at the end of the week wins and advances to week 3.
Week 3 (8/18/16-8/24/16)- 8 Person Group, this will pit every participant in the group against the rest, whoever hits the most HRs this week will be crowned ODC HR Derby Champion.
*Tie Breaker 1 will be SLG%, Tie Breaker 2 will be OPS if that's tied then god help us.
Post your player below in the comments to let me know who you will have representing your team in the Derby, the way I'm looking at the HR total is by going on ESPN and looking at Matchup Scoreboard and Total which I think only counts it if your player hits it while in your lineup just for a heads up!
