Playoff Format

Currently the playoff format will be 8 teams which would be like the 2011 season but were wondering if everyone would like to change that to 10 teams this season like the MLB did rather than waiting till 2012 to change it.

If we changed it this is what it would look like in the regular season there would be 21 weeks instead of 22. Then the playoff format would be 5 teams in each league make the playoff's the 2 wildcards would then play each other for 1 week and the winner would go on to play the number 1 seed in the league.

i dont mind ten teams but i dont like this format, i think only the top 2 teams in each league should have a bye and not 4

Well were trying to make it realistic and the way I presented is pretty much dead on but its what ever league decides on.

I like what you're sayin here...it'd be only the top team in each league with a bye. Incentive to finish with the best record.

I get that, but, the MLB is doing a similar system with the play-in and the the 4 team bracket. My only question would be is how will this work with ESPN?

The reason I like that idea is that unlike the MLB, we don't have a HFA here. I don't know if it can work, will have to look into that.
