This is part of a larger concern I’m going to address later, but this passage comes directly from Brandon’s post about using the FA Calculator: “If you upbid an illegal bid, that is still the bid that counts, so don't get caught upbidding yourself.“ By this token, since the last bid made by Hemmons on Zimm was upbid by someone else within 24 hours, he is still out there and not yet won. Hemmons kept upbidding himself despite Noah making illegal bids. If this is deemed to be wrong, then why is he on the Master at 1M per year? Noah’s first bid was illegal, Hemmons should have him at 0.8M per if he wasn’t allowed to upbid himself. Please advise Brewers GM (Marty) White Sox GM (Michael)

Why were my JZimm bids illegal? After my Fields trade which is unprocessed I have 3.4m It was very clear that you must post the remaining salary and outstanding bids you have, for a bid to be valid. You failed to do either because you are a fuck up; much like with the situation on Asdrubral.

We just did a drastic rule change. I feel like this isn't complicated but a group of supposedly college educated people can't figure it out.
1. Use the calculator - in the rules 2. Post outstanding bids and remaining cap - in the rules 3. Not doing this results in an illegal bid. 4. Illegal bids can't win players. 5. Intentionally invalidating a bid by editing or deleting will result in a 24 hour ban from the proboards site.
It's not fucking complicated. I hate free agency. Dumb assholes.

And every one of those changes are the direct result of people constantly fucking up an even easier process. I.E. posting less valuable bids, making bids that put them over cap, etc.

Because the bidding expired on the last legal bid. You didn't lose out on him, he was already won.
If you're going to bid on someone, and honestly the things that Noah did to post an illegal bid are literally the easiest thing in the world to check for, take a look and see what the last legal bid is you have to beat.

I wasnt bidding against noah i was bidding against hemmons! He was the last bid made before i bid....why do we have a 24 hour bidding period if nobody is going to lock them after 24 hours?

I'm kind of sick of people who don't contribute anything griping about what I do.
